 Phimai Boat Races
Take place on the Moon River near the old Khmer city of Phimai and are held yearly by the people of Amphoe Phimai during the second weekend of November. This event includes boats decorated competitions and stalls selling local products.
Thao Suranari Commamoration. held from March 23 to April 2 to commemorate the victory of Thao Suranari. This event includes cultural displays, exhitions, and fireworks.
Phimai Festival. held the same time as Phimai boat Races in Phimai historical Park. This events includes light and sound presentation of buddhist, historical, and cultural exhibitions.
Miss Boonlua Memorial Commemorate miss Boonlua and the people of Nakhon Ratchasima who died in the battle of Thung Samrit in 1826. Website : www.bangkokhospital.com Nakhon Ratchasima : TrekkingKhao Yai, or "Big Mountain", sprawls over parts of Nakhon Ratchasima, Prachin Buri and Nakhon Nayok. It is the most popular national park in the country, attracting one million visitors a year with its scenic beauty and abundant plant and wildlife. Khao Yai has four vegetation zones, spanning elevation from 100 metres to more than 1,400 metres : evergreen rainforest, semi-evergreen, mixed deciduous and hill evergreen forest.
It is also home to a large array of birds and animals. Any time of the year is suitable for visiting. Fifty trails follow the migratory paths of wildlife to beautiful waterfalls. Commonly spotted animals include gibbons, langurs, deer, and monkeys. You can join a night time safari in which rangers shine spotlight onto nightfeeding herds, making them easier to spot.

Khao Yai is a major bird watching hub, being home to rare species including all four species of hornbill: the great, wreathed, oriental pied and brown.
Khao Yai : Whitewater Rafing
Rafting on Kaeng Hin PhoengThis is another stretch of river in Khao Yai National Park noted for its wild beauty. The water is especially challenging in the rainy season months of June to October, and it is a favourite place for whitewater rafting. The passage along this stretch of the river will take three hours or more.Day 1: Depart Bangkok for a three-hour drive to Prachin Buri via Chachoengsao. After lunch, proceed to Kaeng Hin Phoeng River in Khao Yai National Park, swimming and relaxing at leisure. Then, on to an informal training session with an expert on local conditions to familiarise you with the contours of river, the safety equipment and procedures. Day 2: After breakfast, a scenic drive into the National Park followed by walking tour through tour through the jungle. Arrive at the starting point of the rafling expedition: A wilder stretch of the river with spectacular rapids designated Level 5 throughout. Conditions for rafting here are not only scenically impressive, but also exciting. The passage along this stretch of the river will take three hours or more. Lunch, beside the river, then two more hours of rafting on fast-moving water before returning to base at the National Park. Drive back to Bangkok along the beautiful Khao Yai – Pack Chong – Muak Lek – Saraburi route.
