The Beach Boutique Resort |
With the inauguration in December 2007, the first boutique resort at Hat Yao (Had Yao) has been finally opened .
Hat Yao which literally translated means long beach is a long stretching beach of approx. 13 km within the district of Nua Klong of Krabi province.
Krabi is located at the shore to the Andaman Sea on the west coast of Thailand. Most notably are the solitary limestone hills, both on the land and in the sea as on the surrounding islands.
Of approximately 130 islands within Krabi, the Phi Phi Islands are the most famous due to their history of the James Bond Movie “The Golden Gun” starring Sean Connery.
Hat Yao is a long and yet unspoiled beach, located just 25 minutes from Krabi's international airport. The general area is underdeveloped and peaceful with the only communities being local fisherman villages.
Our resort “The Beach” is located on a virgin beachfront land covering 1.5 acres or 4 Rai in Thai measurement.
Altogether 14 private bungalows and 3 beach villas where each of is surrounded with its own terrace, garden and even a private pool on our beach villas.
The owner was inspired by a meanwhile famous movie starring Leonardo di Caprio and the simplicity of its name “The Beach” henceforth our resort is carrying the same simple name.
The former Movie is based on “The Beach”, a 1996 novel by Alex Garland which is one of the favorite books of the owner.
In fact “The Beach” was filmed at a nearby beach stretch called “Maya Beach” which is close to Phi Phi Island which can be reached by boat from the resort within 40 minutes.

The Beach Boutique Resort, Krabi offer 17 well maintained and embellished cottages for the visitors divided in Deluxe Cottage - 72 sq.m. (775 sq.f.), Junior Suite Cottage - 96 sq.m. (1,003 sq.f.) and Beach Villa (private pool) (106 sq.m. or 1,140 sq.f.) which is separated in 12 deluxe cottages, 2 junior suites and 3 beach villas. Each of cottages and villas combines beauty and simplicity in natural wooden floors and private balcony.
